Dr. Terri Trent is a seasoned organizational consultant, who specializes in providing innovative business solutions for both organizations and their human resources. She has had more than 20 years of diverse experience in leading change, executive and career management coaching, training and group facilitation, human resources administration, and college instruction. Terri has worked for Charles Schwab, as Director of Leadership Development, and for Right Management Consultants, an international Career Management firm, with 200+ offices worldwide, as Director of Delivery Training and Development.
Dr. Trent’s specific areas of expertise include executive and career coaching, assessing organizational effectiveness, leadership development, change management, diversity training, team building, competency development, conflict resolution, group facilitation, and multiple psychological assessments. Her early career experience in human resources was gleaned from progressive roles in several functional areas, including: training, leadership development, employee relations, recruiting, corporate communications and employee benefits and compensation.
In addition to her consulting work, Dr. Trent is a graduate professor of organizational change and human resources management at DeVry University, and an online graduate instructor of leadership and human resources at the University of Phoenix. Through her teaching experiences and her doctoral studies, Dr. Trent has developed an expertise in adult learning methodology. She has used this knowledge to provide practical strategies for overcoming stress and trauma in her first book, entitled The Bounce Back.
Dr. Trent’s education includes a Ph.D. in Education from Capella University. She also possesses an MBA from Widener University and a BA in Speech Communication from West Chester University. She also holds numerous professional certifications, including life coaching and MBTI qualification.
Dr. Trent is active with the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA), Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), Organizational Development Network (ODN), American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), Speakers Resources Association (SRO), Diversity Leadership Alliance (DLA), and National Council of Negro Women (NCNW).
